This approach to clay is inspired by the memory of playing with backyard mud in my childhood in Central America. Not much skill, not much expectation, certainly no professional aspiration. It has also been inspired by my sort-of grandfather (long story) who was an artist and once told me to just start pressing into the clay and feel what it wants to be.
